We’re Alan and Jean LeStourgeon and we are passionate about living a healthy lifestyle and we want to share the good news of a healthy diet with everyone. We believe you can be much healthier just by changing your diet and eating whole foods in their most natural form, which would be raw.
Our diet consists of 70 to 80% raw foods which we prepare mostly from our Healthy Recipe section of our Healthy Diet web site. The other 20 to 30% of our diet comes from cooked foods made with whole grains and organic ingredients when we can find them.
The inspiration for our web site and this podcast came from The China Study by Dr. T. Colin Campbell. Dr Campbell’s book is about the most comprehensive study on diet and nutrition ever undertaken and is groundbreaking in its implications for our health. The basic conclusion of the book is that what you eat, more than anything else, is responsible for the state of our health. It concludes that by changing your diet you can change your health. If you care about your health and the health of your family you should read this important book.
Dr Campbell’s book goes right along with our motto on the Healthy Diet Podcast: Eat Healthy, Be Healthy.
